Reaching a Peaceful Mind: The Power of Self-Teaching
When we engage in conversations, it's important to discern whether we speak from personal experience or rely on others' insights. Throughout our lives, we are influenced by various educators who impart knowledge to us. Consequently, much of our understanding is a repetition rather than a product of our own exploration.
Initially, our parents guide us through the educational system, leaving us with a framework to follow. However, it is this very guidance that often leads to suffering in the world. After all, no one can fully grasp your unique learning processes and how you absorb information.
The true teacher lies within ourselves. While basic knowledge may be necessary, it serves as a foundation upon which we can build and delve into our own reservoirs of wisdom.
The challenge arises when we rely solely on this cycle of acquired knowledge to navigate our lives. We find ourselves adrift, living out someone else's existence, wondering why we feel lost.
Only by surrendering everything we have been taught and baring ourselves to our own hearts can we embark on the authentic journey toward wisdom.
