What Does “Feel to Heal” Mean?

To move forward, to expand, to enjoy a deeper sense of peace, one must resolve any unresolved, suppressed trauma.

All that is required, is to feel to heal.

Most of us have not been taught how to process our emotions. Maybe you're too numb or too busy to even realize the amount of emotion that is rising and being suppressed throughout the day. We have grown up in a world where we avoid feeling things. We rush to the next activity or gathering, we put on a happy face and push ourselves to work hard to earn enough to survive. There isn't much space left to pause and reflect on how we actually feel about all of those things and the experiences from our past that have shaped our current lives.

If you observe social media, it is the best place to see all of the unresolved, emotional trauma that we carry. Humans are afraid to feel their own depths. Instead of feeling, we react to everything and project our pain onto others. We constantly blame someone or something else to avoid looking at and moving through our pain. And rightfully so, it's not fully enjoyable to move through those emotions. It's something our biology tends to avoid. But on the other side of the pain, is expansion - deeper love, deeper connection, more peace & joy. Real living is on the other side of our pain.

Can you imagine not reacting to things during your day? Can you imagine not feeling annoyed by your partner or kids or at work?

The uncomfortability of this process will become less and less with practice. When we are ready to take on this task of feeling to heal - we create the space to pause and to reflect on what has hurt us. We accept and forgive what has happened so that a victim state of being no longer runs our lives.
